The file PATCH.EXE is a PC binary executable version of the UNIX-style
patch program.  A brief help message can be obtained by invoking it
as "PATCH -?".  The file PATCH.UU is a uuencoded (ascii) version
of the same file.  Use uudecode to convert it into PATCH.EXE.

These are UNSUPPORTED routines, provided only for your possible
convenience.  They are not necessary for upgrading the PC versions of
Numerical Recipes.  (Instead use the self-extracting PC patches, found
elsewhere in this file tree, directly on the original archive files
from the Numerical Recipes PC diskette.)
